To provide help to youth and their families utilizing a non-residential community-based service to build and maintain a nurturing, supportive, healthy and caring living environment by using knowledge, skills, professional experience, positive communication and educational techniques to reduce the risk of out-of-home placement and allow youth to function positively and add value to their home and community.
To aid each identified client and family in a course of treatment that builds upon each individuals strengths, minimizes their weaknesses and to put our clients on the road to success mentally, physically and emotionally.

Harry Co serves children and adolescents up to 21 years of age and adults over 21 with mental health and/or behavioral issues, which severely impair functioning at home, school and in the community. HARRY CO'S OBJECTIVE
|
Provide care coordination, crisis intervention and therapeutic counseling services both for the individual and the family that stabilize and improve client and family functioning, prevent out-of-home placement and reacclimate youth back into the home, school and the community.
Harry Co's dedicated team members are Qualified Mental Health Professionals who are deeply committed to providing supportive and intensive community based intervention counseling services to youth who exhibit at least two of the following patterns of behavior:
- Difficulty establishing or maintaining normal interpersonal relationships to such a degree that they are at risk of hospitalization or out-of-home placement because of conflicts with family or community.
- Inappropriate behavior that repeated interventions by related mental health, social services or judicial systems are needed.
- Difficulty with age appropriate cognitive activities such that they are unable to recognize personal changes or significantly inappropriate behavior that impede their ability to engage in pro social interactions with their peers, parents/guardians and authority figures.
- Difficulty expressing a wide range of emotions to such a degree that exchanges with parents and authority figures result in opposition, aggressive and threatening behavior.
- Low self-esteem, depression, express feelings of alienation from peers, siblings and parents.
Harry Co's clinical team, with the client and parent, create individualized service plans designed to meet the specific needs of each of our clients. Our QMHP's provide the following services under the tutelage of our clinical staff and receives direct weekly supervision to ensure the following high level of clinical interventions:

Dedicated Team Members: Harry Co's Qualified Mental Health Professional's have long lists and impressive credentials and provide quality services and solutions focused on interventions to the youth and families of Virginia. All of Harry Co team members at a minimum, have a bachelor degree in a Human Service field, have knowledge and experience working with youth diagnosed with ADHD, Conduct Disorder, ODD, experience depression and require additional community and home based support. All HarryCo Team Members are registered with the Board Health Professions as Qualified Mental Heatlh Professionals (QMHP).
Harry Watkins, Ph.D. has a strong and extensive background in the field of Human Services, public policy research, analysis and implementation. As a Juvenile Forensic Evaluator, Dr. Watkins is frequently called upon to conduct clinical and bio-psycho social assessments for at-risk and disadvantaged youth. Dr. Watkins has a keen interest in developing programs and services that puts youths and families on the road to health mentally, physically and emotionally. Dr. Watkins holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University, Masters Degrees in both Clinical Social Work and Public Administration. He holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from Howard University in Washington, D.C. Dr. Watkins' serves as the organization's Principal.
Victoria Brown, M.A. holds a Bachelor of Science and a Masters of Arts Degree in Professional School Counseling from Norfolk State University. Mrs. Brown has developed and implemented services for children living in Fostercare and has served as a surrogate Court Appointed Services Advocate (CASA) representative. Mrs. Brown has eight years of experience in a supervisory role for community based programs across Virginia and is desirous of developing programs for youth and families in rural communities. Mrs. Brown is currently pursuing post graduate education courses in Mental Health Counseling. She serves as the agency’s Mental Health Skills-Building Program Director.
Mitchell Reid, Ph.D., Licensed Clinical Psychologist. Dr. Reid served as a Clinical Consultant for HarryCo., LLC since 2015. Dr. Reid conducts Psychological Evaluations and testing for youths between the ages of four and 18, has completed evaluations for various Court Services Units in the Richmond region; conducts Individual Education Plans and school based treatment planning and provides clinical supervision toward licensure for graduates working towrds licensure. In conjunction with the Harryco Clinical staff, Dr. Reid designs and implement best practices for at-risk and disadvantaged children and adults. Dr. Reid received his B.S. in Psychology from Hampton University, a Masters Degree from Virginia State University and his Doctorate in Psychology from Howard University. Dr. Reid is licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia Board of Psychology.
